Our plan for Christian unity is a return to the New Testament
Christianity. We seek to build the Church of our Lord
on earth as revealed in the New Testament, without human additions
or subtractions, traditions or practices. Where the
Scriptures speak -- we speak; where the Scriptures are silent
-- we are silent.
First Christian Church of Kissimmee began when some six pioneer
families from Kentucky migrated here in the 1880's.
This church was instrumental in the founding of the Lake
Aurora Christian service camp in the late 1940's, Florida
Christian College in 1976, Church Development Fund in 1981,
and the Alexander Christian Foundation in 1989.
First Christian has planted three churches in Osceola county:
Poinciana Christian Church, Northeast Christian Church, and
First Christian Hispanic Church. |
