My Ministry

For what purpose has God called you? How can you share your knowledge of God while continuing to grow in the faith? What areas does does the church have a special need?

Benevolence Ministry - The Christian cupboard needs 3-4 people to assist in our ministry to sort and organize pantry items for the needy in our community. Please see Glinda Cameron or call her at 407-847-7710.

Bible Bowl Round Robin - Each month we host the Greater Orlando Round Robin (the first Saturday of each month) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. With over 200 people in the building we need volunteers to help with the activities of the day,  Please see Gary Bordelon or call him at 407-847-2543.

Guest Services - Three or four people are needed to add to our crew of 'muggers' who distribute our gifts to guests at our week-end celebration services. Please see Kathy Roberts or call her at 407-873-4857.

Greeter Ministry - We need someone to oversee our greeter ministry, recruit new greeters and coordinate our efforts to welcome newcomers. Please see Ross Pepper or Bud Joiner (407-846-6883)

Open Door Café - A family or group needed to clean up after Open Door Café on Sundays. Contact Josh or Glinda Cameron at 407-847-7710.

Youth - Do you want to impact the life of a teen for Christ? Then get involved in the Student Ministry here at First Christian Church. We are always looking for adults who are sold out for Jesus to work with our teens. Areas of involvement include teaching Sunday School, leading a Small Group, attending Youth group & events and much more. Please call Adam Robbins if you are interested.

Small Group Fellowship Leaders - In order to continually expand our small group ministry, we need adults willing to be facilitators, apprentices, and hosts of small groups.

Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor - Supervise maintenance (gas, oil change, general maintenance) of church vehicles. Maintenance expenses are handled by the church. Supervisor would simply insure routine maintenance is done. Contact Gary Bordelon.

Sound Ministry & Presentation Ministry Coordinator - Two separate positions, but could easily be joined into one. Coordinate volunteers to operate the equipment (either sound or projection) for services and special events. Schedule training opportunities (trainers are provided). Familiarity with the technical aspects is not mandatory, mainly the ability to maintain an accurate schedule of volunteers and plan frequent (3 or 4 a year) training classes. Contact Paul Tucker.

Special Event Setup/Teardown Coordinator - Coordinate volunteers to set up tables and chairs for special events at First Christian Church. Following the event, the coordinator would be responsible for taking down tables and chairs, resetting the room to its original configuration. Coordinator would also be responsible for volunteers. No cleanup would be involved. Contact Gary Bordelon.

Nursery Ministry Team Leaders - Greet infants and toddlers, assist with check-in and help caregivers provide a smooth and efficient nursery for our families. More team leaders are needed for our service times on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Contact Bev Chapman at 407-390-9744.

Elementary Ministry Team Sponsors - Love hanging out with kids? Lead in a variety of roles during The Shore on Wednesday night. Contact Erik Barrows.

Communion Preparation Volunteers - Volunteers are needed for preparing communion. Wide variety of jobs - preparing, setting out for Sunday, cleanup, etc. (one Sunday a month). Contact Kathy Roberts, 407-957-2885.
