New Orleans 2010

This summer the high school students will go on a mission trip to New Orleans from July 24-31. We are working with Crossroad Missions in serving the New Orleans area. Sign up at the Youth Table and pick up an information packet. The first "non-refundable" deposit of $100.00 is due January 13th. Please take and read the information packet if your student has not given you one already! There will be a parent/student meeting for the mission trip following ROCK on Wednesday, January 13th (8:15 pm) in the Youth Room.

Men's Retreat

Pop the lock on the garage - crank up your favorite auto, hotrod, motorcycle, church bus and come to the Lake Aurora 2010 Men's Retreat (March 5th & 6th). Guest speaker is Cam Huxford (Preaching Minister at Savannah Christian Church). Cost is $60 if paid by February 17th ($75 after 2/17). Make checks payable to First Christian Church. CIY (Christ In Youth) Believe

Attention Middle School students - It is time again for CIY Believe. CIY Believe is a two day event specifically for middle school students only. It is packed with high energy worship, Biblical teaching, and one-on-one interaction. Believe gives challenging opportunities for middle school students to grow in their faith and is a one of a kind event. This year's conference is on March 12th-13th and cost $65.00. Money is due no later than January 24th.

Beach Blast Lock-In

On Friday, March 19th at 7:00 pm until 9:00 am the next morning, elementary students will have a blast at First Christian Church (Beach Blast Lock-In). The cost is $3.00, plus girls bring a soda to share and boys bring a snack to share. Pick up your permission slip in the cooler at the lock-in display in the foyer. Please return to Ms. Danielle no later than Wednesday, March 17. You won't want to miss all the fun games we are going to play.

The Amazing Race

Attention all students, come be a part of THE AMAZING RACE! On Sunday, March 21st from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Students will engage in a fun community activity. We will be in groups traveling around Kissimmee performing fun tasks and doing weird and crazy games! First team to finish wins! It will be a blast and a chance to meet other students in the Youth Ministry. The cost for this event is only $3.00. Sign up today at the Youth Table. For more information contact Chris Wells.

Ministry Team Meal & Meeting

The Ministry Team meal and meeting is Sunday, March 21st, following the 11:00 am Worship/Bible Fellowship classes. Please meet in room 128 C-D at 12:20 pm. Your family is invited to eat with us if you have signed up and are a ministry team member. Sign up at Home Base or email the church (staff@fcckissimmee.org) if you plan to attend.

Ice Cream Social

All ladies are invited to a fun time of fellowship and ice cream! Come to the church on Friday, March 26 at 7:00 pm for sweet ice cream and lots of fun toppings. The cost will be $3.00 per lady and is payable when you come to the social. Please sign up at Home Base so enough ice cream and toppings can be purchased. No childcare will be provided. Green Meadows

Parents - the Green Meadow event for preschool children and their parents has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 27th. We will leave the church at 9:00 am if you need a ride or you can meet us there at 9:30 am. The cost is $10.00 per person, children ages 2 and under are free. Money is due Wednesday, March 24th. College Tour

This spring break, high school students will have the chance to goon the Christian College tour. The trip will be Monday (April 5th) to Saturday (April 10th). We will visit four different Christian colleges (Florida Christian College, Atlanta Christian College, Milligan College, and Johnson Bible College). This will be a great way for students to check out college options for their future. The trip will be open to Juniors and Seniors first, and then will go to sophomores (as space allows). The cost of the trip will be around $100.00. Contact Chris Wells for more details.

CIY (Christ In Youth) Move

It's time to MOVE again! This summer the high school students will again to to CIY at Lee University in Cleveland, TN from July 11th - 17th. The cost of the trip is $325.00. The first non0fefundable deposit of $50.00 is due January 27th. Christ in Youth is a great week that will help students grow closer to Christ. Sign up at the Youth Table and pick up your information packet. Special note - If this is your first time to attend CIY the cost is only $275.00!
